Our History

Kentucky is one of the great culinary states! We want to you to sample our rich history in food and in one sitting, taste the past and the present that we enjoy everyday at home.

As many great companies in America, our business was born out of our garage and kitchen at home in 2011. Next was choosing a name that would sum up who we are and embrace the future. Through the years we have traveled the rolling hills of Appalachia and Kentucky. We are participants in the “Hillbilly Days” Festival in Pikeville, Kentucky. From this show we decided no name would be better for our company and our products than Kentucky Hillbilly Foods. We embrace all the rich heritages of our great state. As we have traveled to other states, we found that the term Hillbilly is widely accepted and loved by many regions and people of the country. In 2013 the word “Gourmet” was added to embrace the statement that our products are of the highest possible quality that can be purchased with old and hard to find recipes of the past and an infusion of new all natural recipes and new food items.

In these few short years we now participate in shows in 16 states which has led to a new website that you are currently viewing.

Hillbilly Gourmet’s commitment to quality and integrity will always keep the identity of our past, present and future.

All products are made in a Certified FDA commercial kitchen. We now have over 30 recipes with more being added to our portfolio. We hope to create a brand that will serve the customer with the highest quality product. To help accomplish this it has been a great honor for our company to become a “Kentucky Proud” member. This is certification from the Kentucky Department of Agriculture that our products are made by us in Kentucky, using Kentucky ingredients and recipes.

 So enter our kitchen, have a seat at our table and enjoy a taste of southern tradition at its finest.
